Raising kids to love Jesus is hard.

No–it is actually impossible in the sense that we have no power, ultimately, to do what most needs to be done: give them a new heart for God. God alone does this.

Every child is different. Every family is different. There are no formulas we can follow that guarantee every child will love Jesus. That some children raised in a Christian home will not love Jesus is a sobering reality. But as Christian parents, God has given us abundant hope.

God is clear about what is most important for our children to know. They need to grow up knowing him as he is: a loving, gracious, and merciful God who has done everything to ensure our relationship with him. This is the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Wouldn’t you want to be sure you’re doing the most important thing—the thing that God most wants done—the thing that the Holy Spirit uses to turn a child’s heart toward him?

At Home in Him, we help families rediscover, restore, reinforce, and relate the gospel in their homes.
