Wallace is a courageous last name, but it means foreigner.

And that’s kind of the story of our parenting (and marriage) in a nutshell. We have seen a lot over the past 30+ years together—including raising our now 8 grown children with grandkids in tow. We would love to say, “We found the magic fix. We made a way.” But the truth is, we have felt as foreigners to a lot of challenges in life.

This is why it’s so important to take the gospel at its word. And find courage to follow. In Jesus we didn’t find a template, but a friend, a savior. Someone who could be our rock, individually and maritally, as we have navigated through it. And you can, too.

Meet Eric.

Hi! I am glad you stopped by. I’m Eric, an ordained elder in the PCA. I’ve written books, raised children, and spoken at conferences, churches, and retreats. But before the kids came around, I took Leslee to Hawaii for a belated honeymoon. The plan, which I kept secret from her, was to go to Tahiti.

The day before our wedding, the trip was canceled because a group was protesting against the government. The protesters’ antics forced the international airport to shut down. Thankfully, we could cancel the trip and received a full refund. And even more thankfully, Jesus has cancelled my spiritual debts.

Meet Leslee.

Welcome! If there is one word I would like to describe me, it would be welcome. I love having people into our home. I love it when my husband or kids sit down beside me to chat. I love hearing my family gather around a meal filled with laughter and love.

I want people to always feel like they can be authentic and honest around me. Life is messy and hard. I am a fellow sinner…and a new creation in Christ! I want to share that life-giving nourishment with those around me.
