About Leslee

Welcome!

If there is one word I would like to describe me, it would be WELCOME! I love having people into our home. I love it when my husband or kids sit down beside me to chat. I love hearing my family gather around a meal filled with laughter and love.

I want people to always feel like they can be authentic and honest around me. Life is messy and hard. I am a fellow sinner… and new creation in Christ! I want to share that life-giving nourishment with those around me.

Hospitality vs Entertaining

As busy families, it is hard to think of adding one more thing like hospitality. Could it be that our approach has been all wrong? Inviting someone into our home is one of the best ways to break down walls and deepen relationships both with believers and non-believers. It may be easier than you think. I will share five essential tips that make hosting simple and enjoyable for everyone.

Surviving Chaos with Lots of Littles

Finding joy in the Lord when your hands are full of groceries and little kids can be challenging. Being outnumbered can make us feel like we are being washed away by a hurricane with no eye. At one point in the early days, we had five kids age five and under. They were crazy days. I share my favorite survival tips.

How Identity in Christ Transforms me as a Wife and Mother

The transformative work of the gospel in our lives is simple and yet profound. It shifts our focus from seeking after idolatry to finding true rest in Jesus’s finished work. This truly is a journey that we are on until the day God calls us home. I have seen the holy spirit work amazingly in my own life as he has pried my fingers, releasing the grip I have had on my expectations of marriage and desires for control with my kids. The Lord is not done and I am still growing, but I humbly share my failures and the encouragement he has brought as he lovingly does his work.

The Mother-in-“Love” Season

A mom pours everything into raising her children. The goal of parenting is to prepare our kids to be adults who rest in Jesus. It can be a challenge to transition into the next phase of life: supporting our adult children. How do we graciously travel this new path well?
